IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: HoPay is a financial technology platform, not a bank. Banking and payment services are provided by Stripe Payments UK Ltd, an entity authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (Firm Reference Number: 900461).
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HoPay UK LTD ("we", "us", or "HoPay") regarding your use of the HoPay mobile application and related services.

To use our services in the United Kingdom, you must be a resident of the UK, at least 18 years old, and successfully complete our identity verification process (KYC). Verification is processed securely via Stripe Identity.
Our financial features, including card issuance and bank transfers, are powered by Stripe.
By using these services, you also agree to the Stripe Services Agreement.
Funds held in your HoPay account are safeguarded by Stripe Payments UK Ltd. This means your money is kept in segregated accounts, protected from corporate creditors. Please note that as a payment institution, these funds are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
HoPay charges fees for specific actions such as currency exchange, ATM withdrawals (where applicable), and Tap to Pay transaction processing. A full breakdown of fees is available within the "Limits & Fees" section of the app.
We take your privacy seriously. Your personal and financial data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Financial data is encrypted and handled according to PCI-DSS standards.
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us at hopay@curierdeolt.ro. If we cannot resolve your issue, you may be eligible to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) in the UK.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
